Updating to say that Goddard's really went above and beyond for my elderly cat. She was declining rapidly, and I knew the day was coming when we would have to say goodbye to her. Goddard's (sorry, I can't remember the name of the vet) showed an outstanding level of care and compassion for her, I can never thank them enough for how wonderfully they treated her in her final hours. I decided to use Goddard's after my usual vet was unable to take on a rescue kitten I had adopted. Very impressed with the staff and the service. Will be moving my other cats over to Goddard's asap.

I’m disappointed with my recent visit. My cat was very scared and stressed. While she was handled gently, the staff felt cold and lacked warmth or reassurance, which is important with frightened animals. I told them I was frustrated because I had tried to find a toothbrush for her tiny mouth but only found big ones. They said they had just checked online and found many suitable options, but when I asked for the website details, they kept telling me to “just Google it.” When I asked again about a specific website I was told to be focus on the vaccine. This was confusing and unhelpful, and I felt dismissed. When I was leaving, I asked about my cat’s weight and only then was I told she had gained almost a kilo and needed to lose weigh; If I hadn’t asked, I would never have known about my cat’s weight gain. The examination table was also dirty from the previous pet. I felt the communication, guidance, and cleanliness were lacking. I hope the clinic improves. I am not sure if I would come back

They never have appointments available.

Mediocre care for an unconscionable amount of money. Will essentially hold your pet’s health hostage, via withholding necessary prescription medication, until you agree to their costly tests etc. Other places in the neighborhood with better quality of care for much less money - and a real focus on the pet’s wellbeing.

my cat that isn't registered with Goddards, had a fight and came off a bit worse with a puncture wound to his cheek, which had badly swollen and become infected. I got in contact via the WhatsApp chat after surgery hours, 8am the next morning I received a response and he was booked in within 5 mins of that response. abscess drained, some meds and my boy Paddy is looking a lot better. Thank You Goddards. 5*

I’m angry and upset after my experience with this vet practice and have now decided to find another vet. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been trying to make an informed decision about health checks for my elderly cat. The practice kept recommending a range of costly blood tests due to her age. I explained several times—both in person and via email—that I do not have pet insurance and, given her age, would only consider tests that could lead to affordable and non-invasive treatment. I made it clear that options like chemotherapy or radiation would not be appropriate for her. Despite this, I received conflicting information from different nurses about what tests were necessary, each time with different pricing. I had to chase multiple times for clarity and spent a lot of time trying to get consistent answers. I eventually had a long discussion with a vet, only to be met again with the same generic recommendation and price list, with little effort to take my concerns or financial constraints into account. When I raised the inconsistency in advice, I was told this was due to staff turnover—something that, frankly, does not inspire confidence when dealing with an animal’s wellbeing. Overall, I felt unheard and pushed toward expensive procedures without personalised care or genuine discussion about what was best for my cat aligned with my request. I am now actively looking for a new vet who takes a more compassionate and individualised approach.

Really great experience at Goddard's over the past week. Our cat suffered a bladder blockage and we rushed him in on Thursday evening, the doctors took great care of him while he was there, called me every day and explained his after care well. He stayed there for 3 nights total, the bill was to be expected with the amount of care he had. Make sure you have insurance for your furry friends! Thank you to everyone for looking after our little man 😸❤️

Katie our 13yr C.K.C.S had to go for health check and boosters. She is very nervous when at the vets. We met Bolu Eso for the first time , Katie was at ease with him no shaking or burying her head into me. He was easy to talk to and was very understanding about Katie being nervous. Hope he stays at Grove road for a long time.
