#4 Vet in Waltham Forest, Greater London
Pets Clinic Veterinary Surgery is an independent practice (as described by a long-term client) that opened in June 2009 and describes itself as a modern surgery offering “an excellent standard of veterinary care” (website). Based on recent reviews, the clinic is used heavily for cat care, including injury treatment (a cat’s paw after a fox attack) and end-of-life support (euthanasia on Christmas Eve with guidance through the process). Owners also describe the team as strong on clear explanations and answering questions, while a minority of recent reviews raise concerns about rudeness/shouting from an older vet, suggesting the experience can vary depending on who you see.

I would like to thank Dr Mihai for his compassion and empathy, unfortunately I had to put my elderly Cat to sleep on Christmas Eve, it was a heartbreaking decision but I was guided every step of the way, I appreciate the way it was handled , Thank you

Dr Mihai is very talented, caring and diligent. He goes above and beyond in his work and I am very grateful to have him nearby. I cannot recommend this practice enough!

The best vet I've found for my cat Yuki, he saved his paw from a fox attack and he's the only vet I trust.

Mihai, Vasile, Daniella, and the rest of the team are truly passionate about their work, and as a long-time customer, I can honestly say that I couldn't wish for better care for my boys. Milo, Luca, and Ollie—along with our dear pets Timmy and Benson—have always been exceptionally well looked after. Not only do they care deeply for our cats, but they also prioritize the needs of their customers. The team's compassion and dedication shine through in every interaction. They communicate effectively, ensuring that all our questions and concerns are addressed, and they consistently go the extra mile to help us. Before moving to Walthamstow, I had experiences with other veterinary practices, but none compare to this remarkable team. I wholeheartedly give them a five-star rating for their exceptional service—they truly are a dream team 💞💞💞

I have been a loyal customer at Pets Clinic Veterinary Surgery since 2011, and my experience has consistently been excellent. The veterinarians and staff are truly exceptional, creating a warm and welcoming environment for both pets and owners. Daniella, Mihai and Vasile, in particular, are outstanding with my cats, making every visit a genuine pleasure. The communication skills exhibited by the entire staff are exemplary; they ensure that all my questions are answered and that I feel informed about my pets’ care. Moreover, the clinic itself is impeccably clean, which adds to the overall sense of professionalism and care. The team is always accommodating to the unique needs of their customers, demonstrating a commitment to excellent service. Overall, I highly recommend Pets Clinic for anyone seeking compassionate and professional veterinary care for their furry companions.

Brought in an elderly stray cat that had been dumped to see if he was chipped. The young lady at the reception and the younger vet were both very helpful and kind but the older vet was very rude and aggressive. First he suggested I leave it back on the street - despite acknowledging it was elderly and neutered, and therefore likely to have been a dumped pet - and then he rudely asked me why I brought the cat to his vet when my own pets are registered elsewhere (I had brought this frail cat to the nearest vet possible in my bare hands). When I explained I couldn't keep the cat myself and asked if I could leave him there for an hour or so while I contacted some local charities, he shouted and told me he was done talking to me and to get out. I won't be registering my pets with someone who is so dismissive and hostile to both people and animals in need. I can see from other reviews that this vet has a tendency to shout so maybe he should look at tackling his anger management.

Excellent attitude, very welcoming, fair priced and gave good suggestions not only regarding my cat’s health but also insurance. I’d definitely recommend!

We’ve been using Pets clinic since moving to the area in 2010 and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. The reception staff are always pleasant and both vets are really good and I like that it’s independent. We did have to take our dog for TPLO surgery to a specialist recommended by Pets Clinic and we couldn’t fault their recommendation but all the post surgery checkups were at Pets Clinic.
